With this first exhibition, the new artist-run space in Lisbon was inaugurated. The space borrows its name VUG from the eponymous character of the science fiction novel T0 (second part of the “Cosmicomics” series) by Italo Calvino. Somewhat in the same spirit as the book, “Mirrors’ landscape” was born from play, the association of ideas and free experimentation, producing a sort of representation of a small multitude of imaginaries, now ironic, now surreal, now abstract.

Con questo primo open-studio è stato inaugurato il nuovo studio VUG di Lisbona. Lo spazio prende in prestito il nome dall’omonimo personaggio del romanzo di fantascienza T0 (seconda parte della serie delle “Cosmicomiche”) di Italo Calvino. Un po’ con lo stesso spirito del libro, ‘Open Studio #1’ nasce dal gioco, dall’associazione di idee e dal libero esperimento, producendosi in una sorta di rappresentazione di una piccola moltitudine di immaginari dall’aspetto ora ironico, ora surreale, ora astratto.
